What Is The Fool's Brigade Annual Benefit?

The Fool's Brigade Annual Benefit was founded in 2004 by Bruce Hazel, to benefit the recently laid off workers at Pillowtex. Subsequent shows benefited Crisis Assistance Ministry, Hospice of Charlotte, The Charlotte Community Charter School, The Metrolina AIDS Project, Jacob's Ladder Job Center and, most recently, Project HALO.

Previous shows featured the songs of Tom Waits, The Kinks, music from world famous rock-club CBGBs, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Big Star and The Replacements, raising nearly $35,000 for these great, Charlotte-based charities.

The annual benefit was established with a dual intent; to provide assistance to a worthy cause and to shine a spotlight on the talented group of local music makers who help make Charlotte a thriving and vibrant place to live.
